Hi all,
Last Wednesday, I finished updating the Orc Banner and Musician models, which you can see below. You can download the new models HERE by clicking on ‘Orc Drummers and Banner Bearers’.

Finishing off these models marks the passing of a major milestone—the entire Orc Infantry model range is now complete! At this point, I’d say I’m about halfway through the Orcs overall.
Next Job
The next group of models I’ll be working on are the ‘Beast Pieces’, starting with the Tabers and their Beast Masters.

I’m still quite happy with the original Taber model design, but I’ll be updating their model sheets to match my new ‘Bleed Cuts’ format. That said, I’d also like to give them separate wings you can glue onto the models.
Now, as for their Piper model (previously their Beast Master), things have changed a bit. The new Orc design has protruding teeth, meaning they don’t really have lips anymore—so realistically, Orcs wouldn’t be able to play pipes or any kind of wind instrument.
So, I’m exploring a new idea: replacing the Piper with a small gang of ‘Orc Wavers’—Orcs carrying long poles adorned with Taber feathers, which they wave in the air to communicate with their beasts as they charge across the battlefield, causing chaos.
This concept ties in nicely with the Tabers’ existing lore, especially how they hunt their prey—and as I write this, I think it’s the idea I’m going to go with!
I started writing this post soon after finishing the new Banner and Musician models for the Orcs, but over the past week, the new Taber models have really come along—as you can see below, I’ve pretty much finished them. Next week, I’ll be starting on their beast masters—the Orc Wavers.

If you’ve got thoughts on the idea or suggestions, I’d love to hear what you think!
That’s enough from me for now.
Until next time—take care!
